1. The written examination shall comprise eight
compulsory subjects.
2. A candidate shall answer the papers in
English, except the paper at Sr.No.2, unless
otherwise directed.
3. Time allowed for each subjective paper shall
be three hours and MCQ type paper shall be of
two hours.
4. The subjects and maximum marks allocated to
each subject shall be as shown below:-

Non-Muslim candidates have the option either to
attempt MCQs on Islamic Studies or the same
number of questions in a separate section.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
a) No candidate shall be summoned for Viva
Voce and Psychological test unless he has
obtained at least 33 percent marks in each
indifidual written paper and 50 marks in the
aggregate of the written portion of the
examination. No candidates shall be considered
to have qualified in the examination unless he
also obtains at least 50 percent marks in Viva
Voce and Psychological tests. Failure in or
absence in Viva Voce and Pschological tests
shall mean that the candidate has failed to
qualify for appointment and his name will not be
included in the merit list.
b) Names of candidates who qualify shall be
arranged in order to merit according to the
aggregate marks obtained in the examination.
c) In the event of a tie,the orderof merit shall be
determined in accordancewith the highest marks
secured in the Psychological / Viva Voce tests,
should the marks in the Psychological / Viva
Voce test of the candidates who tie,be equal
than the order of merit shall be dedided in
accordance withthighest marks obtained by such
candidates in the aggregate of the compulsory
subjects. If these are the same, then the elder
candidate would be placed above the younger
one.
English: The paper is intended to test the ability
of the candidates in functional English
comprising precis writing, translation from Urdu
to English, composition, usage of idioms and an
eassy on one of the several specified topics.
Urdu: This paper will test the ability of the
candidates to translate an English passage into
Urdu, usage of legal terms in Urdu, composition,
precis writing, use of idioms and an essay on one
of the several specified topics.
Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies & General
Knowledge: This will be MCQ type paper on
Pakistan Studies, basic principles of islam,
fundamental beliefs and practices, everyday
science, current world affairs and also broad
facts of historical, political, geographical and
economic significance.

Marks Candidates who qualify the written portion
of the examination shall be called for the
Psychological and Viva Voce Test, as under:-
(a) Psychological Test
Psychological Test comprises of paper and
pencil test and group tasks. Such tests are
designed to assess abilities, attitude and
personality characteristics of the candidates with
special regards to their aptitude for the judicial
services. Candidate's performance in
psychological assessment will form the part of
his/her over all performance.
(b) Viva Voce Test
Each candidate will be interviewed by a Board.
He/She will be asked questions on matters of
general interest. The object of the interview is to
assess his/her suitability for the service for
which he/she is a candidate and in framing their
assessment the Board will attach particular
importance to the moral and ethical qualities of
the candidates, his/her intelligence and alertness
of mind, vigour and strength of character and
his/her potential qualities of leadership. The
Board will also take into consideration his/her
extra-moral activities such as sports, hobbies
etc. and their effect on his/her personality and
character.

Pakistan Looking at Three Option to buy Stealth Aircrafts Including F-35

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has said that Pakistan Air Force is in talks with American aircraft maker Lockheed Martin for F-35 Lightning II. He said wtaht PAF is looking at three different option to purchase  fifth-generation stealth jet fighter.

Flying officer Mariam Mukhtar,first female pilot of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to be martyred

Flying officer Mariam Mukhtar of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was killed today when one of F-7 fighter jet crashed near Kundian, Mianwali.  Mariam got injured while ejecting from her aircraft and didnt survive the injuries. She became first female pilot of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to be martyred.

Damaged in Terrorist Attack, Saab-2000 AEW&C Now Operational

Engineers from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra  have been able to repair Saab 2000 AEW&C airborne early warning and control aircraft  and it is now operational with Pakistan AIr Force.

 Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production was informed that foreign engineers estimated cost of repair to be around 30 million dollars while indigenous repair has costed only half of this. 

The Saab 2000 AEW&C was damaged in an attack by terrorists on  Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra.

No. 2 Minhas Squadron Reequipes With JF-17 Thunder Block-II


No. 2 Minhas Squadron of Pakistan Air Force has been reequiped with JF-17 Thunder Block-II Fighter aircraft. Minhas Squadron of Pakistan Air Force is based on PAF Base Masroor which indicate that it me be tasked to perform maritime strike role.

The JF-17 Thunder fighter jet is armed with C-802A Anti-ship Missile for use against maritime targets such as warships from standoff distance of 180 kilometers.

 In maritime strike role JF-17 Thunder will be able to carry two SD-10A Beyond Visual Range Air to Air Missile (BVRAAM) and 2x PL-5E II Within Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (WVRAAM) for self-defense purposes.

Three Terrorist Killed by Pakistani Burraq Drone Strike

Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa has confirmed that three terrorist were killed in first ever drone strike in North Waziristan by Pakistan Army

Drone attack was conducted by Pakistani Burraq Medium Altitude Medium Endurance Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) armed with laser-guided �Barq� missile in Shawal valley of North Waziristan.

Keel Laying Ceremony of Third Azmat Class Fast Attack Missile Craft (FAMC) Held

Keel laying ceremony for construction of third Azmat Class Fast Attack Missile Craft (FAMC) was was held at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW).


 Azmat Class Fast Attack Craft Missile has 63 metres length and displacement of around 560 tonnes , top speed of around 30 knots and maximum range of 1000 nautical miles. The ship is equipped with indigenous weapons and sensors.


First two boats of this class are equipped with eight Chinese C-802A/CSS-N-8 Saccade anti-ship missiles. This new Fast Attack Missile Craft is being constructed by the Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) under the Transfer of Technology agreement from China Shipbuilding & Offshore International Company (CSOC). and Xingang Shipyard.

Pakistan To Purchase 15 AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters & 1000 Hellfire II Missiles

United States has agreed to supply Pakistan with 15 AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters along with 1000 AGM-114R Hellfire II Missiles and associated equipment at cost of $952 million.

Sale will include 15 AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters

Pak Navy To Purchase Eight Attack Submarines from China and ATR-72 Aircrafts

Government of Pakistan has informed National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence that it given go-ahead to for purchase of eight Diesel Electric Attack Submarines from China. Government officials also confirmed that Pakistan Navy is also in market for second hand submarines and PN is currently is conducting negotiations with different countries including Germany, and France for this purpose.

Pakistan is advance stages of negotiations for purchase of eight diesel electric attack submarines from China. GOP has also approved  $ 294 million fund request for upgrade/induct ATR-72 surveillance and transport aircrafts by Pakistan Navy. ATR-72 surveillance and transport aircraft will be used for effective surveillance of extended exclusive economic zone and search-and-rescue (SAR) operations.
